Phil Foden To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Phil Foden has not been at his best this season but with injuries to Savinho and Jeremy Doku he may get the chance to start in a forward position against this Salford side. He has scored ten goals in all competitions and could add to that tally.

Manchester City 5-0

Reason for tip

Manchester City were 8-0 winners the last time that these two sides met and while a repeat of that scoreline looks unlikely, they should dominate. Side with the Citizens to win this Fa Cup clash 5-0.

Manchester City vs Salford City Predictions

  • Manchester City beat these opponents 8-0 last year
  • Salford have lost two of their last three games
  • Phil Foden has ten goals in all competitions this term

City to enjoy repeat fixture

Manchester City beat Salford 8-0 in the third round of the FA Cup last season and the pair have been drawn against each other once again in the fourth round of this year’s competition.

Karl Robinson’s side are currently sixth in League Two and face a huge task getting anything out of the Citizens on this short journey to the Etihad Stadium, particularly as Pep Guardiola’s side seem to have found their groove.

The hosts have won five of their last six games in all competitions and followed up their dramatic 2-1 win over Liverpool at Anfield with a routine 3-0 success against Fulham in midweek.

The Ammies by contrast have lost two of their last three as they lose ground in the fourth tier race for promotion and the fact that they are as big as 60-1 to win this game tells a story in and of itself.

Foden to get on scoresheet

There is very little juice in the match markets and a better bet may be found in the goalscorer markets.

Phil Foden has not quite been at his best this season but he has still managed to score ten goals in all competitions and had two shots on target against Fulham on Wednesday, he is taken to score in this cup clash.

A repeat of their 8-0 win looks unlikely but Manchester City’s 10-1 win over Exeter in the third round showed that they take no prisoners and a 5-0 home win is the correct score pick.
