Netherlands to Win

Reason for tip

The Dutch are unbeaten in five matches in front of their own fans while Germany have won just two of their last five on the road and could struggle against the in-form hosts.

Netherlands 2-1

Reason for tip

The Netherlands have scored 17 goals across their last four home matches in all competitions and could grab a couple again on Tuesday. However, Germany did score in all three Nations League away matches last time out and possess enough quality to get on the scoresheet.

Netherlands vs Germany Predictions

  • Netherlands are unbeaten in five matches at home
  • Germany have won just two of their last five away fixtures
  • The two sides played out a 1-1 draw in their last meeting in Amsterdam

Dynamic Dutch can edge out Germans

After an agonising European Championship semi-final defeat to England, the Netherlands returned to winning ways in emphatic style last time out and they can turn a good international break into a perfect one with victory over Germany on Tuesday.

The Oranje brushed Bosnia-Herzegovina aside 5-2 in their last Nations League fixture – with five different players finding the net including Joshua Zirkzee and Cody Gakpo – and this victory extended the Dutch’s home unbeaten record to five matches.

Germany also got off to a strong start in Group A3 with a 5-0 thrashing of Hungary – which also saw five different goalscorers – however their record away from home could do with some improvement, with just two wins registered across their last five on the road.

Die Mannschaft drew each of their three away Nations League fixtures last time out and they may fail to take all three points once again in this one. However, they did score in each of these and they have more than enough quality to trouble the Dutch defence. A 2-1 victory for the hosts draws some appeal, particularly given the Dutch have scored 17 goals across their last four home matches.
