Manchester United vs Chelsea Betting Tips

Manchester United showed absolutely no signs of turning their awful form around on Saturday as Stoke comfortably beat them 2-0. This was their 4^th straight defeat in all competitions and they have now played seven games without a win.

It’s not like their opponents have been top class either. Their last three defeats have come against the struggling Norwich and Bournemouth and then a fairly goalshy Stoke side.

This has seen them slip down to 6^th in the Premier League, with three points now separating them from 4^th placed Spurs. A loss on Monday could see them end the gameweek as low as 11^th.

Chelsea have showed signs of improvement since the departure of Jose Mourinho. They beat Sunderland 3-1 last weekend and managed to get a 2-2 draw against the in form Watford on Boxing Day.

They are still way down the Premier League table in 15^th though, although with it being so tight in the middle of the table they are only ten points adrift of their opponents on Monday.

Chelsea have won two, lost two, and drawn one of their last five games in all competitions, but their performances have definitely improved in the last couple of weeks.

Manchester United, on the other hand, have shown no signs of improvement. All confidence in Van Gaal seems to have disappeared and none of the players have any belief in themselves or the system they are playing. Their once solid defensive unit has conceded nine goals in their last four games as well.

A defeat on Monday could very well be the final nail in Van Gaal’s coffin, and I’m expecting a defeat. Odds of 2.100 for a Chelsea 0.0 Asian Handicap Win on Monday look incredibly good value as well, so I’m backing that. I’m also going for a 2-1 Chelsea win at 11/1, as Man United’s defence has been dismal in recent weeks.
