Tip Reasoning
Manchester United managed to secure their place in the Europa League knockout stages with a 2-0 win over Zorya on Thursday, extending their unbeaten streak to seven matches in all competitions.
Their form has been inconsistent though, with draws against Everton, West Ham, and Arsenal interrupting victories against Swansea, Feyenoord, West Ham and Zorya.
In the Premier League things get even worse for Manchester United. They are unbeaten in five games but have only won one of them, drawing the remaining four. Over the longer term they have won just one of their last eight league matches.
Tottenham endured a similar sort of spell not too long ago, but their 3-1 comeback against CSKA Moscow in midweek made it back to back victories for them and sealed a spot in the Europa League knockout stages.
They have now won three of their last five, with their form prior to that seeing them on a seven match winless streak in all competitions.
In terms of individual threat Tottenham will be looking squarely at Harry Kane. The English striker has netted nine goals in 12 appearances this season and has scored three in his last two. Backing him to score at 6/4 is an excellent choice for our anytime goalscorer predictions.
Tottenham will feel they have a great chance of taking something on Sunday. Manchester United have won just one of their last six home league games and Spurs, even with their recent poor form, have only lost three of their 11 away days this season. Odds of 4/6 for a Tottenham Win or Draw Double Chance look good value, and I’m going for a 1-1 correct score predictions at 11/2.
