Sweden could keep El Tri in check

Mexico could meet their match when they take on Sweden in a pre-World Cup preparation match in Girona on Wednesday. Tata Martino’s men thrashed an incredibly-weak Iraq team at the same venue last week, but the Scandinavians should provide much sterner opposition.

Janne Andersson’s side will be without one or two stars – such as Spurs’ Dejan Kulusevski, but most of the regulars will be available and probably keen to make amends for dismal Nations League campaign just gone.
