Lions to bite Cherries’ winning sequence
Bournemouth bagged their sixth straight league win against leaders Norwich City at the weekend (1-3), but the Cherries should find Millwall a tough nut to crack at The Den this Wednesday night.
Jonathan Woodgate’s charges are absolutely flying and there’s no doubting that they’ll start the Play-Offs as favourites in a month’s time if their current form continues through to the end of the regular season.
Gaining victory at The Den is no easy task though and the Cherries could well find their impressive winning sequence brought to a halt here.
Millwall are in decent shape themselves after amassing ten points from their last five games and Gary Rowett’s side have lost just two of their last ten starts at home, winning five.
At the prices, we’re narrowly leaning towards a draw in this one for small stakes as we feel the Lions are more than capable of grinding out a result – particularly after holding Brentford to a goalless stalemate at Griffin Park on Saturday.
Along with our prediction for the spoils to be shared, we’re also forecasting a repeat of the 1-1 score-line played out between these teams in January’s reverse fixture at the Vitality Stadium.
