Millwall vs Blackpool Predictions

• Four of Millwall’s five home league games have produced fewer than three goals.
• Both teams have scored in just one of Blackpool’s five away league outings.

Wounded Lions

Millwall were once again dealt a hefty blow as they suffered a fourth defeat with scoring across their last five matches and boss Gary Rowett was not happy. He came out and said that his side needs to “step up” but they now need to focus on the next match against Blackpool. They’re a much more solid side at The Den though having lost just three matches in the league at their home ground since a defeat to now-promoted Nottingham Forest earlier in 2022.

Things don’t look too much better for Blackpool either with the Tangerines only victory across the last five match days coming via the assistance of an error in goal-line technology. Michael Appleton has also been critical of his side but he will feel quietly confident of getting a result in this one given they’re unbeaten in three of their last four away games.

Low-scoring affair in prospect

Neither side is exactly prolific and it would be a huge surprise to see a goal-heavy game. We will side with under 2.5 goals being scored in a fairly even contest.
