Millwall vs Milton Keynes Dons Predictions
Milwall’s magnificent run continued during the week as they came out on top (1-0) against Peterborough. The Lions have now gone unbeaten in 16 games (all-competitions) – an achievement that is certainly not to be underestimated. On the other hand, MK Don’s inconsistent season goes on as they’ve won just one of their last five, drawing two and losing two during that time.
Considering just how solid Millwall look right now, it really is almost impossible to oppose them. The hosts are playing decent football and are seemingly impenetrable. With this in mind, odds of 21/20 on the home win really does appear to be an overestimation and is well worth taking advantage of.
The thing that is most impressive about Millwall right now is their clean sheet record. Neil Harris’ men have now kept no less than nine consecutive clean sheets in all competitions. Whichever way you look at it, that is one hell of a feat. Although this will come to an end at some point, it would take a brave punter to bet that MK Don’s will be the next team to find the net, against a back-line that is clearly at the height of their game right now.
In terms of securing all three points, Millwall have won four of their last five at home, and have never really looked like losing during that time. Compare this with MK Dons’ incredibly patchy record on the road, and it’s hard not to feel upbeat about the host’s chances here. The Dons have won just one of their last ten on the road and have tended to find it hard to break down teams who’re useful at the back.
With the way things have gone for these two of late, the hosts are the only team to side with here, especially at the prices. Confidence is likely to be sky-high in the Millwall camp right now and the hosts are fancied to make it two home wins in quick succession.
