MK Dons vs AFC Wimbledon Predictions
- There have been three or more goals in seven of MK Dons’ last ten home fixtures
- Seven of Wimbledon’s last ten away league matches have contained more than three goals
- MK Dons have scored in 13 of their 15 outings at Stadium MK
Dons out of sorts
MK Dons are still in seventh place in League One, but they are on a little bit of a sticky run after winning just one of their last six, while they are without a win in three at Stadium MK.
A clash with their old foes AFC Wimbledon could be the perfect chance to bounce back to form, while they will also be boosted by the signing of Theo Corbeanu on loan from Wolves.
He will add some potency to a side who have only scored once in their last three games, but they have generally been fluent in front of goal, netting 43 times in 24 League One outings this season.
Defensively there have been issues though. Liam Manning’s side have only kept one clean sheet in their last five league games, with 10 of their last 15 in League One containing three or more goals.
Rusty Wimbledon?
AFC Wimbledon have not played since 29th December, a 3-0 defeat to Oxford, and that is the only game they have managed to play in the last month due to a raft of postponements.
Mark Robinson’s side could hand a debut to Terry Ablade who has just arrived on loan from Fulham and will add some menace to a strike force who have failed to score in three of their last seven away matches.
But defensively there are certainly issues. The Dons have only kept two clean sheets in 12 away games in League One, with eight of those games including three ore more goals.
I expect there will be plenty of goal mouth action in this one, so predict three or more goals over the course of the 90 minutes, but I expect MK Dons will prove to be the superior team, so select a 2-1 home win as the correct score.
