Moldova vs Montenegro Betting Tips

Moldova are, unsurprisingly, bottom of Group G of the Euro 2016 qualifiers. A draw away to Russia and Liechtenstein give them a total of two points, three points behind Liechtenstein in 5^th place.

Their losses have been surprisingly narrow though, and they have only lost by more than one goal twice since the qualification campaign began eight games ago.

However, one of these two goal losses was against Montenegro, who beat them 2-0 at home to open their qualification run with a win.

Montenegro have a lot to play for as well. They are in 4^th position in Group G, with three points separating them from Russia in the crucial playoff position.

They beat Liechtenstein 2-0 on Saturday, a result which put an end to their six match winless streak and made it two wins, three draws, and five losses in their last ten matches.

Moldova actually managed to get a win against Montenegro back in 2013 when they won 5-2 away from home in the World Cup Qualifiers. Montenegro have won their other two matches against Moldova though, with 1-0 and 2-0 scorelines being played out.

Moldova do have a chance of getting a result from this match. They have managed a draw against a better team in Russia, so odds of 10/11 for a Moldova Win or Draw Double Chance look alright.

However, considering Moldova have seen under three goals scored in each of their last five matches, and past meetings between the sides have seen two or less goals scored on two out of three occasions, I think that odds of 4/7 for Under 2.5 Goals look like good value.

Odds of 11/2 for a 1-1 draw look like pretty good value to me as well, so I think that is worth a couple of quid!
