Both Teams To Score - No

Reason for tip

Both teams have not scored in six of Montpellier’s last seven Ligue 1 games and also in eight of Nice’s last nine Ligue 1 contests. The hosts have not conceded in over three and a half hours of play at Stade de la Mosson while Nice have not shipped any goals in four of their last five away trips.

Nice 1-0

Reason for tip

Nice have won each of their last four away league games, the last three by 1-0 scorelines.  Les Aiglons are in much better form than their hosts, having won seven of their last eight league games and kept clean sheets in seven of those games too.

Not many goals around in Nice games

Ligue 1 leaders Nice will be very hard to beat again when they face inconsistent Montpellier at Stade de la Mosson on Friday evening.

Les Aiglons have won seven of their last eight league games and kept clean sheets in seven of those games too, although they often rely on only one at the other end to claim all three points.

Montpellier can be hard to crack at the back too, particularly at home where they have not conceded in over three and a half hours of play.

 Suspension could upset visitors’ defence

Michel Der Zakarian’s side held Kylian Mbappe goalless for 90 minutes at the weekend in a 3-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain and can put up stern resistance against a Nice team that needed late goals to claim 1-0 wins in two of their last three road trips.

This has the makings of another 1-0 away win too, but the loss of key defensive midfielder Youssouf Ndayishimiye to suspension could upset Nice’s defensive balance here.

Both teams not to score looks a better play than the away win at a similar price while a small play on a fourth 1-0 away win in a row still appeals in correct score betting.
