Morocco vs Brazil Predictions
- Eight of Morocco’s last 11 games have featured fewer than three goals
- Brazil have drawn one of their last 12 matches
- Both teams have scored in just two of Morocco’s last 11 matches
Tight affair likely in Tangier
Morocco were the surprise package at the World Cup and the semi-finalists will have a good indication of how far they have progressed as they entertain Brazil on Saturday.
The Samba Stars were dumped out by Croatia on penalties in the quarter-finals in Qatar, but even though they are without star forward Neymar, they have won their last five friendlies, so our prediction is that they will come out on top of this one.
It is difficult to see them hitting great attacking form as Morocco demonstrated their defensive qualities in the winter – they conceded just once in their opening five games at the World Cup – so they could be difficult to break down.
Brazil should come through
A visit from Brazil is a big occasion for any international rival, and it is rare for them not to rise to the occasion, even if the match in question is just a friendly.
Switzerland, Peru and Argentina are the only teams to have beaten them in non-competitive action in the last ten year and with Morocco perhaps not having the attacking ability to threaten too much and big expectations to live up to these days, they may fall short, so our prediction is for the visitors to win 2-0.
