Nacional vs Chaves Predictions

Back Chaves’ troubles to continue

The last time these two sides shared a division, Nacional ran out 2-0 and 3-0 winners over the course of the season on route back to the top flight. However, their spell there lasted just a season and they’ve found themselves back in the second-tier.

Both of these sides are lingering in mid-table, so their promotion hopes aren’t exactly high. However, things have been picking up for Nacional of late, who head into this one unbeaten in four.

The hosts have also got a solid record at their own ground, winning two of four at home and losing only once. Meanwhile, Chaves are in terrible shape on the road, failing to win any of their five trips and suffering three defeats in four.

Given the contrast in form, I’m backing Nacional to take the points in this one. Meanwhile, Chaves have scored in four of five trips this season and BTTS has landed in four of Nacional’s last five, so a 2-1 home win is my correct score prediction.
