New England Revolution to Win

Reason for tip

New England are unbeaten in their last nine MLS matches and they can come out on top against Cincinnati, who have hit a bit of a slump since winning seven of eight matches.

New England Revolution 2-1

Reason for tip

Cincinnati have scored in all but two of their 17 MLS games this season, so they can find the net but may not be able to keep the Revolution in check, so go for a 2-1 home win.

New England Revolution vs FC Cincinnati Predictions

  • Both teams have scored in seven of Cincinnati’s last nine matches
  • Cincinnati have failed to score in just two of their 17 MLS games this term
  • New England are unbeaten in their last nine MLS outings

Revolution moving in the right direction

New England Revolution have won just one of their last nine Major League Soccer games against FC Cincinnati, but they head into Sunday’s meeting at Gillette Stadium in fine fettle and can be expected to improve that record.

The Revolution have played just five of their 15 games this season in Foxborough, but they head into this weekend’s clash with their confidence boosted after a 3-0 win in Montreal.

All three goals were scored after the Canadians had been reduced to ten men, but that extended their run to nine league games without defeat and should give them the belief their home results can match the progress they have made on the road.

Cincinnati can make their presence felt

In contrast, Cincinnati have hit a bit of a slump after winning seven of eight games. A 2-1 loss to DC United means it is now four matches without a victory and they look to be up against it.

They can usually be relied upon to find the net, which they have done in 15 of their 17 league outings, and they have notched in six of their last seven visits to New England, but we’ll be going for a home success by a 2-1 scoreline.
