      Both Teams To Score

      Reason for tip

Both teams to score is the best bet when Nice host Rennes. Nice are leaky at home, conceding in seven of their last nine at the Allianz Riviera, and they have played more BTTS games than anyone in Ligue 1. Rennes arrive in form, scoring in four straight league matches and carrying a reliable away threat against bottom-five sides.

      Draw 1-1

      Reason for tip

A 1-1 draw is a solid correct-score option. Nice have been involved in plenty of BTTS games, but their recent matches have often stayed under 2.5 goals, with three of the last four finishing below the line. Rennes are scoring regularly but are not always watertight either, so a tight game with one goal each looks plausible.

      Nice vs Rennes Predictions

BTTS looks the play on the Riviera

Rennes have found the net in their last four league games, and they scored at least twice in two of those. They can continue their good form away at Nice on Sunday, with both teams to score the best bet at the Allianz Riviera.

They are nine places above Nice in the table, with the two sides separated by 16 points. The hosts are 15th with six wins and 12 losses, while Rennes are sixth, having won 11, drawn seven and lost six.

Nice have won four of the last six Ligue 1 meetings with Rennes, but they have gone five games without winning. Rennes were 3-0 winners over Auxerre in their last away game two weeks ago and are going for a fourth successive win.

Both teams are struggling defensively. Nice have conceded in seven of their last nine home games and it’s three Ligue 1 games since they last recorded a shutout, while Rennes have failed to keep a clean sheet in eight of their last ten games against Nice.

Both sides have scored in 15 of Nice’s 24 Ligue 1 matches this season, no team has played more games in which both teams have found the net. Nice have been in some low-scoring games of late – three of the last four have gone under 2.5 goals – but there were six goals in their clash with Lorient two weeks ago, when they drew 3-3.

Rennes have been in goalscoring form, netting an average of 1.75 goals a game in their four Ligue 1 away games against teams in the bottom five this season. They have also scored in four successive league matches.

It could be hard to separate these two sides, with the 1-1 draw looking a decent correct-score bet. Three of Nice’s last four Ligue 1 matches have ended with under 2.5 goals and this game is unlikely to be a goalfest either.
