Nigeria vs Mozambique Predictions

Super Eagles provide entertainment

Nigeria and Mozambique face off in a last 16 AFCON tie on Monday in a game that has the potential to be a high-scoring affair.

The Super Eagles came through the group stages with a perfect record of three wins in as many games, but they are yet to keep a clean sheet.

Mozambique lost 1-0 to holders Ivory Coast then edged out Gabon in a five-goal thriller, before losing out 2-1 to Cameroon.

Backing Nigeria to win and both teams to score was my initial through for this game but taking the prices into account going for over 2.5 goals looks a strong play.

Both teams have scored in six straight Nigeria games and there have been at least three goals scored in six of their last eight, while over 2.5 goals has been a winning bet in four of Mozambique’s last five.

Nigeria have been in excellent scoring form with eight goals across three games and a 3-1 win for the Super Eagles has a chance.

Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman has three goals and two assists in two AFCON appearances so far and the Nigeria forward is the standout pick for an anytime effort in this last 16 tie.
