Town to scrap out victory at Sixfields

These sides have kept five clean sheets between them already this season, so we should see a tight battle at Sixfields this Saturday.

The only real blot on Northampton’s copybook thus far has been a 1-3 defeat on their penultimate outing at home to Rochdale who came down with them last term, and The Cobblers have otherwise maintained three shut-outs and taken seven points from their games against Port Vale (1-0), Colchester (0-1) and Crawley (0-0).

Town are marginally fancied to land the spoils via a 1-0 score-line when they entertain Scunthorpe this weekend, though we’re recommending under 2.5 goals as our main wager.

United will be a tough nut to crack having lost only one of their five league matches to date, keeping clean sheets in two and conceding just five goals overall. Northampton are taken to edge matters but we’re unlikely to see a deluge of goals considering the hosts have netted just three all season, while United have scored just three in their last four starts.
