Norway and Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Norway have won nine of their last 10 games, with one draw, and know a victory over Estonia would virtually guarantee a place at next summer’s World Cup. The visitors seem destined for defeat, but they have at least scored seven goals in as many qualifiers and could register a consolation effort after scoring in defeat to Italy last month.

Norway 5-1

Reason for tip

A Norway win with goals at both ends is predicted and a 5-1 home win has a chance. Norway have scored 29 goals in just six qualifiers, while a goal is probably as good as it will get for the visitors.

Norway vs Estonia Predictions

  • Norway will essentially qualify for World Cup 2026 with a win.
  • Estonia have scored in consecutive games.
  • Norway conceded in victory against Moldova.

World Cup 2026 awaits Norway

Norway know a victory over already eliminated Estonia will virtually secure their spot at next summer’s World Cup, due to their vastly superior goal difference to Italy.

The Scandinavian side are massive favourites to win this game and the handicap line of -4 is a little offputting, so as an ‘outside’ tip for this game backing the hosts to win and both teams to score is an interesting option.

Estonia have managed a respectable seven goals in as many qualifiers and they managed to strike in a 3-1 defeat to Italy in the last batch of fixtures, before playing out a 1-1 draw with Moldova. The visitors have nothing to play for other than pride but they do have a chance to attempt to spoil Norway’s party, while the hosts may ease off if they go a few goals ahead and that may result in a few chances for Estonia.

Norway’s Erling Haaland has an outrageous 12 goals in six qualifiers and Norway have scored 29 goals in total, so they are capable of putting together a big win even if they do concede and a 5-1 win for the hosts has a chance. Haaland is the obvious contender for an anytime goal.
