Norway vs Luxembourg Predictions
- Norway have won four of their last seven (D1, L2), but conceded three goals against both Romania and Turkey in recent starts.
- Luxembourg have scored in five of their last six away matches but have managed just one clean sheet from 13 on their travels.
Luxembourg to have a say at La Rosaleda
Norway should have enough quality to edge out Luxembourg in this Wednesday’s friendly clash although both teams to score looks a better bet for the action in Andalusia.
COVID-19 restrictions mean Norway must turn out at La Rosaleda, Malaga once again and on balance, Stale Solbakken’s side make limited appeal at odds of around 1/2.
They’ve won four of their last seven starts (D1, L2), but have suffered 3-0 defeats to both Romania and Turkey in that sequence and take on a Luxembourg outfit here who aren’t the mugs they used to be.
The visitors beat Republic of Ireland on their penultimate start (0-1) before scoring in defeat against European champions Portugal last time out, so they’re clearly capable of giving the home side a game this week.
Luxembourg have netted in five of their last six away trips but have managed just one clean sheet from 13 on their travels – a consequence of their admirable attacking style and willingness to go after the opposition.
Based on those stats and Norway’s defensive inconsistencies, both teams to score is the selection this Wednesday night, though we’re giving a narrow vote to the Norwegians in the correct score market for what should be an entertaining encounter in southern Spain.
