Norwich vs Arsenal Predictions
Norwich’s form has taken a turn for the worse after a promising start to the season. They have now only won once in their last eight outings, losing six times.
This poor form has seen them plummet towards the relegation zone, and their position in 16th place and their poor form is cause for concern. They could well be making a swift return to the Championship if they don’t improve soon.
Arsenal’s form has declined a bit in recent weeks too. They did manage a 3-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb in midweek, but that is only their second win in the last six matches.
Three of these games have ended in defeat, with Bayern Munich, Sheffield Wednesday, and West Brom defeating them.
However, Norwich are a team that Arsenal can definitely beat. Arsenal’s defeats have come against a defensively sound West Brom, a better quality side in Bayern Munich, and a Sheffield Wednesday side who Arsenal were complacent with.
Norwich have conceded 24 goals so far this season, and defensively poor sides are who Arsenal thrive against.
They do have a bit of an injury crisis on their hands though. Jack Wilshere, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Theo Walcott, Mikel Arteta, Tomas Rosicky, Danny Welbeck, and Francis Coquelin are all out injured. But Arsenal have enough strength in depth to deal with this.
Norwich haven’t had the best of times against Arsenal in recent years. They have lost four of their last six meetings, winning just once and conceding 14 goals.
I think the likes of Mesut Ozil, Olivier Giroud, and Alexis Sanchez will take advantage of a poorly organised Norwich back line and net a few goals. Odds of 8/13 for an Arsenal Win look really good value, so that’s what I’m backing along with a 3-0 correct score prediction at 12/1.
