Norwich vs Liverpool Predictions
Norwich’s 3-0 loss to Bournemouth last weekend was a match they really could have done with winning, but their performance showed just why they are being dragged into a relegation battle.
This was their 3rd defeat in a row in all competitions, and they have conceded three goals in each of these losses.
However, only one of these games was at Carrow Road, and that was against Manchester City. At home they have generally been pretty good. They have only lost one of their last six games on home turf and are unbeaten in five in the Premier League. This includes three wins and two draws, so they have a good chance coming into this game.
Norwich will be desperate to put in a better performance than last weekend as well, and they need to put some distance between themselves and the relegation zone. They sit in 16th position with just two points separating them from 18th placed Newcastle.
Liverpool find themselves in a lacklustre 9th position in the Premier League, with eight points between them and the promised land of the Champions League positions.
Liverpool’s youngsters managed to win their FA Cup 3rd Round Replay against Exeter City on Wednesday, ending their run of three games without a win.
However, they are still in pretty poor form. They have won just one of their last six matches in all competitions and have lost twice.
Away from home it is marginally worse for Liverpool. They have lost three, drawn two, and won two of their last seven away days.
Norwich managed to pick up a point at Anfield when these two sides met earlier in the season, and I think they have a great chance on Saturday as well.
The hosts’ excellent home record, coupled with Liverpool’s poor winning record on the road, makes odds of 17/20 for a Norwich Win or Draw Double Chance excellent value. I’m also going for a 1-1 correct score prediction at 6/1.
