Norwich vs Wolverhampton Predictions

  • Wolves have four wins in their last six Premier League games (D1, L1).
  • Norwich have lost four of their six home games.
  • Wolves have won three of their six away games.
  • The visitors are averaging exactly one goal per-game.

Wolves can raid Carrow Road

Norwich have managed back-to-back wins ahead of the visit of Wolves on Saturday but they could be heading for a loss at Carrow Road on Saturday.

The Canaries picked up a 2-1 victory over Southampton in Dean Smith’s first game in charge last week after ending Daniel Farke’s time in charge with a 2-1 win at Brentford.

However, in both of those games their opponents had more shots on target and enjoyed the majority of the possession, and with Wolves in form and particularly strong on their travels a win for the visitors has real appeal.

Lage has got Wolves firing

Wolves’ decision to bring in Bruno Lage over the summer raised a few eyebrows and initially it seemed as if the appointment wasn’t a great fit but they are starting to look like a real threat under the Portuguese boss’ guidance.

The Molineux club picked up an impressive 1-0 win over Champions League chasing West Ham last time out and have won four of their last six in the league, losing just once. Wolves have the fifth best away record in the Premier League with 10 points from six games (W3, D1, L2), while Norwich have lost four of their six home games so far.

Goals could be in short supply

While I am expecting a Wolves win, I’m not anticipating too many goals in this match-up either despite the fact Norwich are conceding on average 2.66 goals per-game at home.

Wolves aren’t particularly prolific scorers and are averaging exactly one goal per-game. Norwich may have the joint worst defence in the league with 27 goals conceded but we should see some improvement in that area now Smith has arrived and I feel a 1-0 win for the visitors has a chance in the correct score market.

Norwich City predicted lineup: Krul, Aarons, Hanley, Gibson, Williams, Gilmour, Normann, McLean, Sargent, Pukki, Rashica

Wolves predicted lineup: Sa, Kilman, Coady, Saiss, Semedo, Neves, Moutinho, Ait-Nouri, Traore, Jimenez, Hee-Chan
