Odd BK vs Kristiansund BK Predictions

These two sides are just outside the top half of the Eliteserien table, and their seasons could go either way from here. However, there is a slight gap between the two going in to this weekend. The hosts are just three points shy of the top four, despite sitting ninth overall. Meanwhile. Kristiansund are 10th in the table, just four points clear of the bottom three. Will Odd claim all three points in this clash on Sunday, and widen the gap between them, or can the visitors move towards the top half with a much needed away victory?

Odd will be aiming to at least match their sixth place finish last year, they came in just one place above Kristiansund in the final table. That does suggest that this game will be close, but could the hosts take all three points in front of their home support? While there hasn’t been much between them in recent months, Odd do have a big advantage going their way ahead of this one, as the pair are on wildly different runs of form.

Odd have managed to win six and draw one of their last nine, with recent away trips scuppering a string of victories. However, their home form puts them in a great position to pick up all three points this weekend. The Oddrane have won four of their six home matches this season in the league, averaging 2.17 points per game. They’ve racked up 14 goals, letting in just four in return, and that has made them deserved favourites ahead of this game.

Odd have won four league games on the bounce at their own ground, winning to nil in three of those. No side has picked up more points at home than Odd, who will be aiming to climb the table with that strong form. If they could just start picking up results on the road, then they would cruise up the table. There is at least a strong chance of the home side adding to their impressive points tally at the Skagerak Arena this weekend, with the visitors disappointing on their travels.

Kristiansund have picked up three points from their five away trips, having conceded twice in three of those. They’ve got one of the worst away records in the top flight, while they recently lost 2-0 at Hodd in the cup, who reside in the third tier. Meanwhile, they lost at five of their fellow top half sides last season, including a 2-0 defeat at Odd. With that in mind, we think a home victory is good value here, along with a repeat of that 2-0 victory.
