Odd BK vs Molde Predictions

• Odd have lost their last three home league games, conceding a total of eight goals.
• Molde have won three of their four league away games in 2022, scoring at least twice on three occasions.
• The last four league meetings between the clubs, all won by Molde, have each featured at least three goals.

Molde can brush aside Odd 

Molde have the momentum to brush aside the challenge of Odd on Sunday as they bid to close the gap on leaders Lillestrom after the international break. Eliteserien Runners-up for the past two seasons, MFK are determined not to fall behind champions Bodo/Glimt in the early stages and will be targeting three points from the outset.

And so they should as one of Norway’s richest men pays the wages and may not accept missing out on a chance to gain Champions League qualification again. Odd are an inconsistent side that have picked up as many points on their travels as at Skagerak Arena this term. Both of their home wins came in April when they caught some established teams cold and their two away wins came recently against smaller, promoted sides.

Molde are surely too strong and too canny to slip up in Skien and we believe the match result price of around 10/11 to be quite fair. The 2019 champions have won each of their last four league meetings with Odd and there have been a few goals every time.

Goals look likely on Skien’s artificial pitch

Backing the visitors to win with at least three goals in the game seems a good shout on that basis and we also note that Molde have hit at least two goals in three of their four league road trips to date. Whether Odd can notch is open to question as they didn’t manage to register against either Haugesund or Sandefjord in their last two home fixtures, but a total of 15 goals have been scored in their first five on Skien’s artificial turf.

A 2-1 Molde success seems a likely outcome here as the visitors bounce in on the back of a six-game winning streak in all competitions, but both teams have scored in each of the last three.
