- Odd have won their last three Eliteserien contests and their last two at home.
- Rosenborg have lost their last two away games, conceding twice on both occasions.
- Rosenborg have scored six goals in four away league games in 2021.
Hosts have momentum to make RBK pay
Odd host Rosenborg at the Skagerak Arena on Sunday with a completely different mood having taken over the Skien club in the last week.
Back-to-back wins against Tromso last weekend and Mjøndalen on Thursday mean Oddrane are fancied to make it four wins in a row.
Striker Mushanga Bakenga made it nine goals in nine games in midweek, although his team’s 2-1 win at Consto Arena owed as much to a goalkeeping blunder of the highest order when Mjøndalen’s custodian let a routine backpass slip under his boot and roll into an empty net.
They will be confident of securing victory against an out-of-sorts RBK that have picked up only one point from their last four outings.
It is a sad state of affairs for Norway’s biggest club to be languishing down in sixth with only 15 points from a possible 33.
Åge Hareide’s men have scored only once in the last month and won’t be many people’s pick to score at the Skagerak Arena, but Oddrane have been lucky to concede more than they have done of late.
Midfielders Markus Henriksen and Per-Ciljan Skjelbred plus forward Stefano Vecchia are injured for Rosenborg, but Odd have no major absentees for this one.
Our pick here is for the hosts to prevail 2-1 because, despite recent attacking struggles, RBK have bagged at least once on their last four visits to Skien.
