Oldham to Win

Reason for tip

Oldham have picked up form following a tricky start to the season and, after taking ten points from their last five League Two games, are expected to see off Barrow at Boundary Park. The visitors have lost four of their six away matches this term and look set for another road defeat.

Oldham 1-0

Reason for tip

While Oldham have picked up form, their scoring ability still leaves a lot to be desired, with the Latics scoring more than once in a game in just two of their 14 matches this season. Their last three wins have come to nil, however, and they can shut out Barrow, who have failed to score in three of their four away losses.

Oldham vs Barrow Predictions

  • Only two teams have picked up more points in their last five League Two games than Oldham’s ten
  • Barrow have lost four of their last six away games
  • Both teams to score has been a winning bet in five of this pair’s last six combined matches

Oldham out to continue impressive form

With no Premier League or Championship action due to the international break, the Sky Sports cameras head for Boundary Park where Oldham take on Barrow in an intriguing League Two clash.

Just one point separates the pair but the form guide suggests that this is only going one way, with just two teams amassing more points over their last five games than the Latics’ ten.

Micky Mellon’s side failed to bounce back from last week’s 3-1 defeat at Notts County when again losing on the road in the EFL Trophy, being defeated 3-2 by League One Rotherham.

However, Barrow are nowhere near the level of that pair and Oldham should feel more comfortable back at Boundary Park, where they have beaten Bromley and drawn with in-form Barnet in their last two home games.

Barrow bound for more travel trouble

Home advantage will be pivotal, too, as Barrow have struggled on the road all season, losing four of their six away games.

The Bluebirds’ two away wins came at Colchester and Crawley, two teams who start the weekend below them in the table, and a trip to Oldham is unlikely to yield any points for Andy Whing’s travel-sick side.
