Exciting game in prospect in Greece

Both Olympiacos and PSV are in extremely decent shape at present and there should be little to separate the sides in this Thursday’s Europa League encounter at Karaiskakis Stadium.

The hosts lost at the weekend but that was their first defeat in 16 games in all competitions with their only losses this season coming in the Champions League prior to that. They are 14 points clear in the Greek Super League but their Champions League form was woeful as they lost five of their six games, only making the Europa League by a head to head away goals record with Marseille.

PSV have performed well in Eredivisie this season but still find themselves six points behind leaders, Ajax. They’ve won six of their last 10 league games and won their Europa League group with relative ease, winning four of their six matches to top Group E.

This game looks like it could be really open with these two sides preferring an attacking approach to things. That could lead to a really exciting game despite it being the first leg of the tie. We’re predicting this could be one of the games of the round and we’re backing this match to see over 2.5 goals.
