      Orebro vs Sirius Predictions

There are two Monday night games in the Swedish Allsvenskan this week and this one sees two bottom half sides meet. Just a point separates Orebro and Sirius with 10 games played, although both clubs have been a good watch from a neutral perspective so far this term so it could be a better game than the respective league positions suggest.

Orebro finished in mid-table last term and they appear to be operating on roughly the same level this time around. They were impressive 3-1 winners away to Ostersunds last time out but they had won just twice in 9 matches the term prior to that. One of those wins did come against last season’s champions AIK though and they do appear to be a team that is capable of producing a one-off performance of a high quality.

They will be under pressure to win this, with Sirius in a state of free-fall after a bright start to the campaign in which they won their opening two games. They’ve lost 6 out of 8 since and they could do with at least stopping the flow of defeats, with just 2 places now separating themselves and the relegation places.

While Orebro’s results are a bit unpredictable, they almost always produce goals. All of their last 8 matches have seen both teams score. While they are favourites here, Orebro have conceded in every game they’ve played so far this term so you couldn’t feel too confident about their chances of keeping a clean sheet, even at home against fellow bottom six opposition.

Sirius have also been involved in plenty of high-scoring matches of late. Their last 5 games include 4-3 and two 4-2 defeats, so while they have been causing problems for their opponents, they’ve been far too weak at the other end.

These sides have two of the three worst defensive records in the Allsvenskan but both have netted 14 times, more than any other team in the bottom half. Therefore all the signs are that this will be a game that produces goals and backing Over 2.5 Goals & Both Teams to Score could be the way to go.

If you fancy a goalscorer bet, consider backing Jake Larsson to score anytime. The young midfielder has made a real impression for Orebro in recent weeks with 4 goals in his last 5 appearances.
