Both of these sides played out goalless draws in their 2. Bundesliga openers last weekend and I predict a similar outcome when they meet at the Benteler-Arena on Friday night.

Nurnberg found goals hard to come by last season and the loss of Hanno Behrens will harm them further in that regard, but they were very tough to beat towards the end of the campaign and with just one loss in their last 11 league games they can give Paderborn a run for their money here.

The hosts also said goodbye to a star striker with the sale of Chris Fuhrich to Stuttgart this summer and after finishing ninth last term they aren’t expected to challenge for promotion this term.
