Rennes Double Chance (Win or Draw)

Reason for tip

Paris FC have dropped points in three of their last four home matches while Rennes are unbeaten in four straight Ligue 1 away games, so they can secure another solid road result.

Draw 2-2

Reason for tip

Both teams have scored in eight of Rennes’ last nine league and eight of Paris FC’s 10 Ligue 1 matches. A 2-2 draw could be on the cards if Rennes play up to their recent away form, which has seen them draw four straight, and Paris FC continue to concede multiple goals at home, which they have done in four of five league matches.

Rennes to take something on the road

Rennes should be confident of extending their unbeaten away run when they visit Paris FC in Friday night’s Ligue 1 clash at Stade Jean-Bouin. These two sides are separated by just one point heading into Matchday 12, with Rennes climbing to 10th after a resounding 4-1 win over Strasbourg, while Paris FC sit 11th following a 1-0 win at Monaco.

Paris FC have impressed in their debut top-flight campaign, scoring in every league match bar their opening 1-0 defeat at Angers. However, they’ve dropped points in three of their last four home games, conceding eight goals in that stretch.

Rennes, meanwhile, ended a six-match domestic winless run last weekend and have now gone four games unbeaten on the road, albeit all of them were draws.

Lepaul looks ready to score again

With Paris FC’s defence still a concern and Rennes buoyed by Esteban Lepaul’s hat-trick last time out, the visitors are tipped to take at least a point in the capital.

The hosts’ attacking style under Stephane Gilli has produced goals consistently, with Moses Simon and Ilan Kebbal providing pace and creativity. Rennes have also looked sharp going forward, with Lepaul and Meite combining for 12 goals so far.

Both sides are coming off wins and have defensive vulnerabilities, so a 2-2 draw looks plausible.
