Partick Thistle vs Aberdeen Betting Tips & Predictions

Celtic slipped up once against last Wednesday when they drew 0-0 with Dundee, once again giving Aberdeen the chance to narrow the gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership. They took advantage of this with a 1-0 win over Dundee United, meaning the gap at the top of the table is now just four points.

With Celtic regularly slipping up Aberdeen will feel they have a real chance to beat them to the Scottish Premiership title this season, but they still have to get the results themselves. They could potentially narrow the gap to just a single point on Tuesday. Celtic visit Dundee in the Scottish FA Cup, so a win for the visitors on Tuesday would put the pressure back on the champions ahead of their weekend league clash.

Partick Thistle are part of a group of teams that are vying for both the top four and to escape relegation. They sit in 8th position in the Scottish Premiership, with six points between them and the relegation playoff position and five points between them and 4th placed Ross County.  With Celtic faltering and the rest of the table looking incredibly close this could turn out to be the most exciting Scottish Premiership season in recent memory.

Aberdeen have won five of their last six games away from home in the league, with their only slip up being against Inverness CT in the middle of February. Partick Thistle will be a tough opponent though, with them coming into this having won four of their last five at Firhill Park.

I think Aberdeen have the most incentive to go out and try to grab the three points on Tuesday. They will want to pile the pressure on Celtic and know that they themselves can’t keep dropping points if they want to lift the league title. It will be a difficult match, but odds of 1/1 for an Aberdeen Win look like they hold a lot of value considering the high stakes for the visitors and the relatively low stakes of the hosts. I’m going for a tight 2-1 win for the visitors as well at odds of 8/1.
