Partizan Belgrade and Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Partizan have won their last four matches and may just have too much momentum for Hibs. But the Edinburgh club have scored in their last six away games, including friendlies, and can get a goal against the Serbian outfit, who have conceded in five of their last six European home games.

Partizan Belgrade 2-1

Reason for tip

Partizan have scored multiple goals in each of their last three European games, including exactly two twice. They beat Radnicki Nis 2-1 in the Serbian Super League on Sunday to make it five wins in a row and a similar outcome could be possible against a Hibs side that has scored in their last six away matches.

Jovan Milosevic To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Jovan Milosevic, who celebrated his 20th birthday with a hat-trick last week, has grabbed six goals in all competitions this season and was rested from their starting line-up on Sunday ahead of this important clash.

Partizan Belgrade vs Hibernian Predictions

  • Partizan have won their last four matches
  • Hibs have scored in their last six away games, including friendlies
  • Partizan have conceded in five of their last six European home games

Hibs have their work cut out in Belgrade

Hibs will have their work cut out for them in Belgrade, where a young and expansive Partizan side lie in wait for them in the first leg of their Conference League third qualifying round tie.

David Gray’s side were knocked out of the Europa League qualifiers by a 119th-minute stunner against FC Midtyjlland a week ago but bounced back well to beat Dundee on Tayside last weekend. Kieron Bowie’s double sealed all three points but they will face a very different test in Serbia.

Partizan reached this stage by eliminating AEK Larnaca on penalties and then dismissing Ukrainian outfit Oleksandria 6-0 over two legs.

Milosevic is making waves back at Partizan

In striker Jovan Milosevic, who celebrated his 20th birthday with a hat-trick last week, they have a top talent with a point to prove after an injury-hit spell in the Bundesliga. Partizan fielded the youngest side in their long European history, with an average age of 22.1 years, in Ukraine last month.

And they may lack the nous to secure a convincing win at home that makes the trip to Edinburgh a formality. Hibs, who lost to 8-0 on aggregate to Aston Villa in the playoffs of this competition two years ago, can grab a goal if their recent road scoring form holds true.

But after four straight wins and a hatful of goals, Partizan are a good price to secure victory with both teams on the scoresheet.
