- The Imps have lost just two of their previous nine meetings with Peterborough.
Posh pushing for promotion
Peterborough know they will be promoted to the Championship if they avoid defeat against third-place Lincoln City on Saturday and the Posh should be confident, as they have collected the most home points in League One this season.
Darren Ferguson’s side have also scored the most home goals in the division, but their form has dipped as they have closed in on promotion, as they have only won one of their last four matches at the Weston Homes Stadium.
Only a victory will keep Lincoln’s automatic promotion hopes alive and the Imps do boast the best away record in League One.
Indeed, Michael Appleton’s side have only lost three of their 21 away matches in the division this season, while they have won each of their last three games on the road by a 1-0 scoreline.
Lincoln also boast the meanest defence in League One this term, conceding just 14 goals to date, while they have only lost two of their last nine meetings with Peterborough home or away.
It certainly appears Lincoln can take at least a point from Saturday’s match, which is why we are predicting the double chance for the visitors, although our overall prediction of a 1-1 draw would be enough for Peterborough to seal promotion.
