Peterborough vs Stevenage Predictions
- Peterborough have won their last four League One matches
- Posh have scored at least twice in 13 of their last 14 games at London Road
- Stevenage have netted just two goals in their last five matches
Posh still punching above their weight
The League One promotion chase is bubbling nicely and Peterborough can put themselves right in the thick of the action with a win over playoff-chasing Stevenage.
Darren Ferguson’s side are punching above their way alongside title challengers Portsmouth, Derby and Bolton, and four wins on the trot is putting them right up there fighting for a top-two spot.
A 5-1 win over Northampton in their last London Road outing means they will not fear taking on anyone and they have scored at least twice in all but one of their last 14 matches on their own patch.
They are proving a difficult side to see off as Stevenage could discover when Steve Evans takes his team up the A1 to face one of his former clubs.
Lack of firepower is a concern for visitors
If Peterborough are fighting it out with some illustrious company then Evans deserves great credit for getting a club the size of Stevenage into the playoff picture.
They head into the match in sixth spot and while they have kept four successive clean sheets, it is a concern that they have netted just two goals in their last five matches.
Their endeavour cannot be questioned but they may just lack the firepower to punish Posh so a 2-0 home victory may be an attractive proposition for those looking for a correct-score bet.
