Dragons have depth to take three points

Porto should maintain their push for top spot when they travel south to face fifth-placed Portimonense on Saturday evening. The Algarve club come into this on the back of three successive home league victories, but they are likely to find Porto too tough of a nut to crack.

After dropping points to Estoril a few days after losing 4-0 in the Champions League to Club Brugge, Porto got a crucial win over Sporting Braga to re-establish some forward momentum. That continued with a hard-fought 2-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday in which goalkeeper Diogo Costa saved a penalty at 0-0.

Sergio Conceicao’s side have too much quality and depth to slip up on Saturday – even if the 2/5 quote on the champions looks a touch short. The odds can be boosted by factoring in Porto’s solid away set-up and taking them to win with fewer than four goals in the game.

Portimonense can be a threat, but less than four goals looks likely

Seven of their last 11 away scorelines have been either 1-0 or 2-0 victories and a win and under 3.5 goals play here also gives some scope for them to win 2-1 or 3-0.

Given Portimonense have scored at 13 of their last 14 home league games and exactly once in 11 of those, a 2-1 correct score play looks to have the best chance of success here.
