PSG flying towards regaining the title

After finishing second to Lille last year, PSG had a point to prove this season, and at the time of writing they are 13 points clear at the top of Ligue 1 having lost just twice all season.

One of those defeats came last week, an ill-disciplined 3-1 reversal at Nantes, but on home soil they remain unbeatable, picking up 34 of an available 36 points.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have kept six successive clean sheets at Parc des Princes and won 15 of their 17 matches there in all competitions, including against Real Madrid and Manchester City.

St Etienne struggling on the road

St Etienne lie just a point above the Ligue 1 relegation zone and have picked up only 11 points away from home this season, losing seven times in 12 matches.

Recent wins on the road against Angers and Clermont have pulled them out of the bottom three, but they had lost three in a row before then, failing to score in each match.

Pascal Dupraz’s side have only picked up one point on the road against a team in the top half, a 2-2 draw with Lens in their first away game, showing their struggles against Ligue 1’s top sides.

I predict PSG will win this game and do so without conceding. They should be comfortable, so I select a 2-0 victory as a correct score prediction.
