      PSV vs Leicester City Predictions

      • PSV have won 14 of their 18 UEFA ties when going into the second leg at home following an away draw.
      • The hosts are unbeaten across their last 15 matches.
      • Leicester will look to improve their record of 10 losses across their last 18 European trips.

All to play for in the Netherlands

Both sides will believe they can be the ones to take their place in the semi-final of the Europa Conference League (UECL) by claiming victory here. But the hosts come into this one in exceptional form, particularly on home soil. Roger Schmidt’s side secured a 2-0 win over Waalwijk at the weekend and it extended their unbeaten run to an impressive 15 matches. With the away goals rule no longer a factor, PSV will feel confident that their home fans and form will be enough to edge past the visiting Premier League outfit.

The first leg was the ‘Foxes’ first ever competitive meeting with Dutch opponents but despite the tie sitting at 0-0 prior to kick-off, Leicester City have had a torrid time in Europe down the years. They’ve failed to win in 13 of their 18 European trips and although boss Brendan Rodgers said earlier in the campaign that he didn’t know what the UECL was, he’ll have to rally his team if they’re to advance to the next round. They’re also coming off the back of a win at the weekend as they dispatched Crystal Palace at the Kingpower and it means that they’re on a run of four games unbeaten prior to this European clash.

Hosts to continue impressive run of form

The visitors have looked vulnerable defensively at times and they don’t tend to travel well. Even in the Premier League, they’ve won just three of their 14 games played so far and we think the PSV faithful will be in strong voice as they watch their side dump the ‘Foxes’ out of the competition, possibly via a 2-1 scoreline.
