Racing vs Puebla Betting Tips

The 1st Leg exploded into life within the opening 15 minutes with Gustavo Alustiza giving Puebla a 3rd minute lead only for Gustavo Bou to equalise just 10 minutes later for Racing. Alustiza restored Puebla’s advantage in the 2nd half but again it didn’t last long as Ricardo Noir levelled for the Argentines.

Since then Racing got their 2016 Primera Division campaign underway with a 2-1 weekend defeat at Atletico Tucuman while Puebla were 4-1 winners against Atlas in the Mexican league.

Goals certainly seem to follow these two around so it was no surprise to see 4 fly in last week. With 2 away goals to their name Racing will be confident of progressing now especially after a good run in this competition last year in which they reached the last eight.

Both teams have also netted in 4 of the last 5 matches involving Puebla. Given they have to score here to have any chance of progressing, the Mexicans will have to come out and attack at some point in the game even if that makes them more vulnerable at the other end. Certainly odds of 5/4 for both teams to score in this match look very good indeed.

Racing have that little extra in the way of quality and experience in this competition so they should edge it and can be backed to win 2-1 at 15/2.
