Rangers vs Inverness CT Predictions

Rangers made it three wins on the bounce on Friday when they beat Hamilton Academical 2-1 away from home, following on from impressive wins against Hearts and Aberdeen over the last few weeks.

It seems the Glasgow giants have finally got going after a rather edgy start to their return to the top flight. They have now won six of their last eight games and find themselves in 2nd position in the Scottish Premiership. However, the title ship looks to have already sailed, with Celtic currently 11 points clear of them with two games in hand.

Either way it’s turning out to be a confident return to top flight action for Rangers, and at home it looks even better with four consecutive victories and just one defeat all season.

Rangers’ defenders have been the stars of the show this season, and it shows with them keeping a clean sheet in over half of their home games. However, on the attacking side of things there are a few standout performers. Kenny Miller is the one we’re focusing on here, with his four league goals making him Rangers’ top scorer this season and also making him the best choice for our anytime goalscorer predictions at 6/4.

The fact that Miller will be facing the worst defensive side in the league will work in his advantage too. Inverness CT have shipped 34 goals in 18 matches this season, which is four more than their nearest rivals for the unwanted crown. Away from home they concede two goals per game on average as well, so things aren’t looking good for them.

Inverness CT’s 1-1 draw at Kilmarnock on Saturday made it seven games without a win for them, and they have only won one of their last 11 in the league. Four of their last six have ended in defeat as well, and they have won just once on the road all season.

Hefty defeats for them have come courtesy of Celtic, Hearts, and St Johnstone, with those three sides netting 11 goals against them in three matches. Rangers are definitely a side who could punish them on Saturday, and considering the visitors have lost by more than a single goal in four of their five away defeats, odds of 1.750 for a Rangers -1.0 Asian Handicap Win look good value to me. I’m also going for a 2-0 correct score predictions at 11/2.
