RB Leipzig and Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Rb Leipzig have won four and drawn two of their six home Bundesliga games this season and should have too much for Heidenheim, but the visitors have already scored at leaders Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich this season and could net once more against another of the league’s tightest defences

RB Leipzig 3-1

Reason for tip

Expect Heidenheim to play their part after scoring in four of their last five away league games, but Leverkusen should come out on top. With five of their last seven home matches featuring at least four goals, a 3-1 home win is the preferred correct-score prediction.

RB Leipzig vs Heidenheim Predictions

  • RB Leipzig have won eight of their last ten Bundesliga home matches
  • There have been four or more goals in five of Leipzig’s last seven games on their own patch
  • Both teams have scored in four of Heidenheim’s last five league away games

Leipzig can pick themselves up

It proved to be a disappointing Tuesday for RB Leipzig as they allowed a two-goal lead to slip in a Champions League defeat at Manchester City, but they should bounce back in the league when they host Bundesliga new boys Heidenheim on Saturday.

Leipzig have dropped off the pace with defeats at Mainz and Wolfsburg in the last month, but their home form has been solid with the highlights being a 5-1 victory over Stuttgart and a 6-0 thrashing of Cologne.

A home draw against Bayern Munich was another episode when they didn’t win after being two goals ahead, but while they should get the better of Heidenheim, it would not be a surprise if both teams scored, something that has happened in each of Leipzig’s last four games.

New boys struggling on the road

Heidenheim will be content to start the weekend in 13th spot against gaining promotion last year, but improving their away record will have to be key as the season ploughs on.

They have taken just one point on the road – a 2-2 draw at Borussia Dortmund – but they have not been helped by some difficult fixtures, losing 4-1 at Bayer Leverkusen and 4-2 at Bayern Munich the last time they were on their travels.

Finding the net at the home of the two tightest defences in the Bundesliga, however, should given them some confidence and they have scored in four of their last five away games.

Liepzig claimed a 3-1 win over Freiburg in their last home match before the international break, and a repeat of that on Saturday looks in the right ballpark for punters contemplating a correct-score bet
