RB Leipzig and Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

RB Leipzig have hit something of a sticky patch but they should get back on track against tame Wolfsburg. The Red Bulls have lost their last two Bundesliga home matches but their visitors this Sunday are in even worse shape having won just one of their last seven outings. Five of those were losses, including each of the last three, and with neither side trusted to keep a clean sheet, backing a home win in which both teams score looks a sound selection.

RB Leipzig 3-1

Reason for tip

No team has sustained more Bundesliga reverses with over 3.5 goals than Wolfsburg have this season so backing a 3-1 home win could yield a winner. Ten of their last 13 matches have featured at least three goals and both teams have scored in 12 of their last 13 outings. Leipzig have scored three times on three occasions at home this season and they are fancied to improve that record with a 3-1 win on Sunday.

RB Leipzig vs Wolfsburg Predictions

  • RB Leipzig have won four of their last five meetings with Wolfsburg
  • Wolfsburg have lost five of their last seven matches, including each of the last three
  • Both teams have scored in 12 of Wolfsburg’s last 13 outings

Red Bulls to get back on track

RB Leipzig remain in a strong position in the Bundesliga despite losing their last two league fixtures on home soil and they can get back on track against a tame Wolfsburg outfit this Sunday.

The Red Bulls have fallen off the title pace after hitting a sticky patch in the German top flight, but they start the weekend in fourth spot three points adrift of Hoffenheim in third.

A 5-1 home defeat to Bayern Munich is not a huge shock, but the ferocity of the loss hit hard and Mainz took advantage to win 2-1 at the Red Bull Arena 14 days later.

Ole Werner’s side dusted themselves to win 2-1 at Cologne, before being knocked out of the cup by Bayern on Wednesday in a 2-0 defeat.

Wolfsburg, though, look the perfect opponents for Leipzig to improve matters as they have lost their last three matches as part of a seven-match sequence which has yielded just one win.

We predict another loss for the visitors, but an away goal can’t be ruled out, as 12 of Wolfsburg’s last 13 matches have seen both teams score.

Leipzig have won four of their last five meetings with the Wolves but they have kept just two clean sheets in their last nine fixtures, so keeping a Wolfsburg goal on side in a 3-1 home win looks a solid option for correct-score punters.
