Reading should be backed to get a home win over AFC Wimbledon on Saturday. They finished seventh in League One last season, while AFC Wimbledon were promoted from League Two.

Reading lost 2-0 to Huddersfield last weekend in their last League One outing, and while they were priced as 2/1 outsiders to win the game, they would have been hoping to be more competitive than the final margin of defeat.

They have now lost both games this season, shipping first on each occasion, but a home fixture against promoted Wimbledon offers a chance for them to kick-start the new campaign. The Royals were the most profitable home team in League One last season, showing a profit of 12.11 units.

Wimbledon, meanwhile, battled to a 2-0 win over Lincoln last weekend, but previously came up short against Luton on the road.

Reading may be able to edge out Wimbledon in a close game, with a 2-1 home win the correct-score pick.
