Swansea City Draw No Bet

Reason for tip

Swansea are unbeaten away to Swansea in just over 14 years and they can extend that positive run with another victory over a Reading side that are slowly returning to a more expected league position after their positive start to the campaign.

Swansea City 2-1

Reason for tip

Despite boasting a strong record away from home, Swansea have kept just two clean sheets in their 12 away league games this term and may be made to work for the result here.

Reading vs Swansea City Predictions

  • Swansea haven’t lost away to Reading since 2008.
  • Reading failed to win four of their last six Championship games.
  • Swansea are unbeaten in 75% of their away league games this season.

Ince by Ince, Reading’s slide continues

A frustrating 3-2 defeat last time out saw Readings slow slide down the table continue after their strong start to the season. That feels like a distant memory now and it could be about to get worse as they meet a Swansea side that they’ve beaten just once across the last 16 meetings.

It’s not all bad for Reading as their home form is amongst the league’s best, although they welcome a side that have lost in just three of their 12 away league games this season and will surely be put to the test by the likes of prolific Swansea frontman Joel Piroe.

Swansea can grab the points

A fair criticism of Swansea would be that they have drawn far too many games this season, especially away from home where they have a 50% draw rate. However, the 3-3 stalemate last time out may have felt more like a win after coming back from a 3-0 deficit to claim a point.

The Swans have now both let a three-goal lead slip and came from three goals behind this term. Even so, they are unbeaten away to Reading across the last 14 years, last falling here by a 4-0 scoreline in the Championship season of 2008/09.

We’re backing the Swans to come away with the points here, albeit in the ‘draw no bet’ market as they have a tendency to play out draws this season, even if many of them are exciting ones! To complete our selections, we’re taking a chance on Swansea to end a run of three straight away stalemates with a 2-1 correct score pick.
