Reading vs Wolves Betting Tips

Reading have taken just 2 points from their last 4 Championship games and find themselves 13 points off the top six but a solid 10 above the relegation zone. A safe mid-table finish is about the best they can hope for now but they do still have the FA Cup to go for and players will still be keen to impress to maintain their place in the squad for next season when they may be a bigger threat.

They’ve saved their best performances for the Cup but have been a bit inconsistent at home in the league winning only 3 of their last 8 at the Madejski. Those wins were all against sides below them so it’s hard to feel confident about backing Reading to win here given they are pretty clear favourites with the bookies.

Wolves are 4 points better off but really need to string some wins together to have any hope of making the top six come May. They suffered a hammer blow in midweek when they let a 2-0 lead slip in the final 10 minutes at home to bottom club Bolton to draw 2-2.

With the Molineux crowd starting to get a little frustrated with their team, they seem to be enjoying life on the road a bit more and they’ve lost only 1 of their last 6 away from home in the league. Therefore backing Wolves to get a result here looks good value at 5/6.

Both these clubs are a little short on the quality needed to produce that moment of magic that will win a close game that this certainly will be. Therefore consider backing this to finish 1-1 at 11/2.
