Real Betis to Win and Over 1.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

Real Betis have scored at least two goals in all three of their European home games this season and have won nine of 15 home games in all competitions. Dinamo Zagreb, meanwhile, are coming off one of their worst domestic performances of the season and have not been great in Europe either.

1/1odds when tipped

Real Betis 2-0

Reason for tip

Real Betis usually score two or more goals at home in European games, but are without some key attacking talent here. That said, Dinamo defended poorly in a 2-2 draw at Lokomotiva Zagreb last weekend and anything like that again would see them sunk.

Assane Diao To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Assane Diao has a goal and an assist in three starts and two sub appearances in Europe this season. The Senegalese teenager looks set to start on the wing in a 4-2-3-1 system and could do some damage with his pace and directness.

Real Betis vs Dinamo Zagreb Predictions

Pellegrini without 10 players for Conference League opener

A weakened Real Betis squad should still contain enough quality to see off a struggling Dinamo Zagreb side in the first leg of their Conference League knockout clash in Seville.

Manuel Pellegrini will be without ten first-team players through injury or the fact that they have not been registered for the competition. Luis Avila, Pablo Fornals, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Sergi Altimira and Youssouf Sabaly are ineligible while Guido Rodriguez, Isco, Ayoze Perez, Abner and Marc Bartra are under treatment.

That makes the Chilean’s line-up easy to predict with Willian Jose the only striker available to lead the line and teenage winger Assane Diao set to feature out wide. The Senegalese starlet has been a bright spark in Europe this season, scoring and assisting goals in three Europa League starts and two sub appearances.

Dismal Dinamo no match for weakened Betis

Dinamo, meanwhile, are down in the dumps after losing more ground in the Croatian title race last weekend in a 2-2 draw with Lokomotiva Zagreb. Their fans want coach Sergej Jakirović sacked, but the club cannot afford another severance package and have no one lined up to take over yet.

Dinamo’s play has lacked any clear plan for some time, which is why they are six points off the top of the table instead of at their usual summit position. They were fortunate to make it through a pretty weak group in this competition, losing three of their six games including a 2-0 reverse at Kosovan outfit Ballkani.

The difference in quality from that to what they will face at Estadio Benito Villamarin on Thursday will be huge and it seems unlikely Dinamo will be able to last the pace over 90 minutes.
