Real need a statement win

Real Madrid have spent the international break stewing on a 2-1 defeat to Barcelona that has all but ended any dim hopes they might have had of winning the title.

That result means Carlo Ancelotti’s side will be champing at the bit to get back to winning ways, and they will be confident of doing so at home, where they are unbeaten in their 12 league outings, picking up eight victories.

Valladolid struggle on the road
