- Rio Tinto Stadium
- Real Salt Lake have lost just one of their last five games (W1, D3) and just one of their five outings at Rio Tinto Stadium this term.
- Houston Dynamo are without a win in their five away trips this season, losing three.
- Both sides have kept just one clean sheet apiece so far this term.
Dynamo toiling on their travels
Real Salt Lake were edged out 2-1 by Western Conference leaders Seattle Sounders in midweek but they can regain the winning thread this weekend against a Houston Dynamo side winless on their travels this season (D2, L3).
The Claret and Cobalt were unbeaten in four (W1, D3) prior to their slender defeat at Lumen Field and look the solid pick here at a touch of odds-against, after also losing just one of their five outings in Utah so far this term (W2, D2).
Freddy Juarez’ side were convincing 3-1 winners over Vancouver Whitecaps on their penultimate start, and a repeat of that display should be good enough to dispatch the visitors who have picked up just two points from a possible 15 on the road and gained just one win from their last five matches overall (D2, L2).
Dynamo have also been defeated on their last two visits to this venue, which have both ended 2-1. We’re tipping up the same score-line here, as while the hosts are a solid fancy for the points, they’ve managed to maintain just one clean sheet from their eight fixtures in 2021.
