Lens to Win

Reason for tip

Lens have won their last three matches in Ligue 1 and are unbeaten in four across all competitions, while Reims are without a win over the same period. Sunday’s visitors are also unbeaten in their last seven meetings with Reims and both momentum and recent history appears to be on their side.

Lens 2-1

Reason for tip

Lens are unbeaten in their last seven meetings with Reims, winning four of those games, while two of their most recent three victories in the fixture have been by a 2-1 scoreline. A repeat outcome on Sunday should surprise no one.

Reims vs Lens Predictions

  • Reims are without a win in four matches, while Lens have not lost over the same period
  • Lens are unbeaten in their last seven meetings with Reims (W4, D3)
  • Two of Lens’ previous three victories over Reims have been by a 2-1 scoreline

Lens to avoid European hangover

After a slow start to the season domestically – they took just one point from their opening five Ligue 1 games – Lens have been on an upward trajectory over recent months and they will head to Reims unbeaten in four matches across all competitions.

This match at the Stade Auguste-Delaune will come in-between the two legs of Lens’ Europa League tie with Freiburg, but that shouldn’t act as too much of a distraction as Franck Haise’s side seek a fourth Ligue 1 win on the bounce.

The Blood and Gold are unbeaten in their last seven meetings with Reims, claiming four wins and three draws and they may be taking on Will Still’s team at a good time.

Reims have been faltering

While Lens are unbeaten in four, Reims are without a win over the same period, during which time they have lost at home to Toulouse in the league and been dumped out of the Coupe de France by third-tier Sochaux.

The Red and Whites won’t be panicking just yet, as they began the weekend still sitting pretty in the top-half of the standings, but this could prove another difficult assignment.

Two of Lens’ last three wins over Reims have been by a 2-1 scoreline and, if you include friendlies, that statistic rises to four of their last six victories in the fixture. Either way a 2-1 away success should surprise no one.
