Romania vs Greece Betting Tips

We didn’t expect Hungary vs Romania to be exciting on Friday night and it wasn’t. There aren’t too many thrills in Group F generally and the Monday night clash between Romania and Greece in Bucharest isn’t likely to make it onto many highlight reels either. Still, it’s a big opportunity for Romania to seize the advantage in group and move back to the top (if other results go their way).

Greece will be arriving in this game with a defence-first approach in mind. Romania has some young players that can showcase creativity in the midfield and they might be given a little more license against the group’s basement dwellers, which could avoid consecutive 0-0 draws.

The Greeks are now officially counting down the games to the end of their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign. They suffered the horror of a home defeat against Finland on Friday and are now almost certain to finish last in a group that includes Faroe Islands.

They don’t have much attacking quality and this squad needs an overhaul and a re-focus. The issues are not likely to be resolved during this qualifying campaign and we fully expect a distracted side to arrive in Romania on Monday.
