Ross County started their season in excellent form after recovering from a dodgy first couple of weeks. They enjoyed a run of seven games without defeat, winning five times.

Ross County’s good days have fortunately come in the League Cup so far. They have beaten Ayr United, Falkirk, and Inverness CT on their road to the Scottish League Cup semi final, but now face a much bigger task in Celtic.

Celtic come into this game in excellent form. They have won five matches on the bounce in all competitions and have netted a huge 19 times during this period, conceding just three at the other end.

It looks like the inconsistent spell they endured throughout December is well and truly over, and now they can start enjoying the sort of winning streak we so often see from them.

This has seen them extend their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership as well, and their cushion of six points over Aberdeen allows them a bit of room to focus on cup competitions as well.

Celtic have seen two or more goals scored in each of their last four matches, with Ross County also playing their part in goalfests in three of their last four outings. This makes odds of 4/5 for a Celtic Win and Over 2.5 Goals look really good value. I’m going for a 3-1 correct score prediction at 10/1 as well.
